To nab your attention in the stores, Mattel provided sellers with demonstration cartridges over the years that provided sneak peeks at the games available for the Intellivision. Information is scanty, and I must thank Intvman, Pete2049, and fasted for their sites and information about the various Demo carts. Their sources are the Blue Sky Rangers. The Official Site hasn't put up the demo cart information, yet, so take this info as 2nd or 3rd hand at best!

Personally, I recall seeing the first demo cart, and possibly one other (that memory is much hazier) in the stores Back In The Day. In more recent times, all of the demo variants have been sighted on eBay in complete form - even shrinkwrapped!

The 1982/1983 demo that shows what is rumored to be the 8K version of Lock 'n' Chase is probably the most interesting one to have, simply because of that.

All of the demo carts run an infinite loop. In the USA demos, text screens tout the greatness of the Intellivision, then show some scripted demos of some of the most popular games.
