Follow this link for info about the review system. 1 = Terrible, 5 = Awesome!

A "port" of the excellent Atari game that just put it to shame. One could call this Intellivision's Missile Command.

Screen Shots

The Atlantis screen is just beautiful. The sound effects are mostly pretty good, but that generic Intellivision "pop" explosion is still there. And those multicolor explosions are awesome!

I'm not sure just when Imagic started doing this, but at some point, some of the games used a white tray rather than the traditional black one. This also was done for the Atari games, too, since my copy of Moonsweeper for the VCS also has a white tray.

Special thanks to Hankster for the initial diffs between revisions B and C of the Atlantis manual.

The documentation for Atlantis underwent several revisions (at least three) due to a bug in the game. The bug has to do with the two-player game and the saucer you can launch. That material is covered in the error slip.

The back cover changed with each of the three known domestic revisions. The changes are detailed below.

Rev. A Back Cover (Green Warranty)

Back cover warranty headline (rev. A)

Revs. B, C Back Cover (White Warranty)

Back cover warranty headline (revs. B, C)

Rev. A Back Cover (Green 'IMAGIC' in Warranty Text)

Revs. B, C Back Cover (White 'IMAGIC' in Warranty Text)

Back cover warranty address - white IMAGIC company name (revs. B, C)

Rev. A Back Cover (Game Designer Text)

Rev. C Back Cover (Customer Services change to Consumer Affairs)

The internal changes in the manual versions appear below. First, between revs. A, B and C we see a color change on the overlay insertion graphic.

Rev. A p. 3

Rev. B p. 3

Rev. C p. 3

Here is the first of several corrections made regarding the Sentinel Saucer. In revision C, all the material formerly covered in the error slips was incorporated back into the actual manual.

Rev. A,B p. 9

Rev. C p. 9

More corrections due to the bug in the game, incorporated from the error slip. So much text was added that the background graphics had to change, too!

Rev. A,B p. 12

Page 12 - Sentinel Saucer info (revs. A, B)

Rev. C p. 12

Page 12 - Sentinel Saucer info (rev. C)

Two changes were made on page thirteen - a minor color change (inadvertent?) and again, more text covering up the Saucer Bug.

Rev. A,B p. 13 (top)

Page 13 - Blue "Example" text (revs. A, B)

Rev. C p. 13 (top)

Page 13 - No special Sentinel Saucer text (revs. A, B)

Rev. C p. 13 (bottom)

Finally, we see that the overlay order form changed in all three versions.
