Another arcade port by the INTV folks.

Screen Shots

I have only vague recollections of the Commando arcade game. The control seems tough, and this game whips me pretty quickly. The graphics are good, but I haven't played it enough yet to give a detailed review. It seems to be a decent port of the arcade game, but there have been better ones (e.g. Dig Dug, Pac-Man).

ROM No ROM variants have been identified.
Box No variations have been found.
Manual No variations have been found.
Overlays Custom overlays have been designed and distributed by Psycho Stormtrooper.
Label To date, two labels have been recorded.
Easter Eggs Some sites claim that two Easter eggs exist - credits and a special message. I have not been able to produce any of them, in emulators nor with the actual cartridge. I believe those reports to be in error.

Only one version of the box has been found for Commando.

Title Screen Hmmm. Kinda funny how nowadays, the smoking aspect of this game's title screen would be harshly criticized—and likely banned—while the gore of bodies rended by exploding grenades would simply be covered by putting an 'M' somewhere on the box. Go figure.
Fight Toward Your Objective! The scrolling is quite smooth, and graphics nicely detailed.
