Port of the Atari VCS game of the same name.

Star Wars: The Empire Strikes BackGraphics: 2
Sound: 2
Replay Value: 2
Notes: 1- or 2-player game
Screen Shots

This is an obvious port of the Atari VCS game–it doesn't add anything new to exercise the Intellivision. It's an average game, and pretty easy to play indefinitely (at least on skill level 1). Your fingers will go numb shooting at the walkers. Control of your snowspeeder is rather difficult, too. The box art is cool, though, and hey–it's Star Wars! Best Score: 9999 [Game 1, rolls over at 10000, quit after rollover]

ROM Two known ROM variants exist.
Box So far, three variations have been found.
Manual Three variants have been identified.
Overlays At least two different custom overlays have been designed, one by Psycho Stormtrooper, the other—????.
Label No variations have been found.
Easter Eggs No Easter Eggs have been found.

A total of three Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back box variants have been documented.

It's official! As reported by decle, and confirmed by Marco: The international version of Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back ROM does not play the Star Wars theme music when you reset the game. There's no convenient way to discern which carts have this ROM in them, as the shell and label have no differences. This is based on getting an shrink-wrapped copy of the International copy of the game and opening it. It has the ROM variant in question, and the cartridge looks identical to all the other copies that have passed through these grimy little hands. Loose copies in the wild will not be identifiable as ROM variants w/o manual testing. :(

The Force is with you young Skywalker. But you are not a Jedi yet. It's just like the Atari VCS version!
