Screen Shots |
Ice Trek is one of those games that is so original, it
almost suffers for it. The notion that you are penalized
for killing something in a game was unique at the time. And the
three phases are pretty cool. Too bad the Intellivision only has
sixteen colors - otherwise the release of the Northern Lights from Kaltkron's
Ice Palace could be even more spectacular.

Attract-mode style title screen - an Imagic signature. |

The game starts off with the hero cross-country skiing through herds of caribou as they rumble across the tundra. |
|
The Wildlife Goddess pays a visit after you succeed. Alternately, she will wreak vengeance upon you for slaying members of the herd. |
|
Oft regarded a frustrating part of the game—certainly the most difficult—this stage requires your controllers to be in good operating condition. You'll need all accuracy you can muster to hook those ice floes. |
|
Nicely drawn castle. Sort of an inverted version of Missile Command. |
