The fact that I even have an NES is an accident. Got a couple in a box full of Intellivision stuff. Of course, they had the old 'lazy' connector. Although I did not replace the connectors, I 'reconditioned' them enough so you can reliably play games on the systems.

There are thousands of sites that have info about the NES. So go to one of them for info about the system. Let's just say that the NES revived the console market and stop at that. This is just my lame-ass listing of the games in the ol' collection. The main ones I'm interested in getting are some of the true 'classics' that are still absent here - Metroid, Zelda, and a few others. Besides that, Ultima: Warriors of Destiny is still missing. And, even though they may not be the greatest games, I'm looking for arcade ports of games that appeared on the Intellivision as well.

And, of course, the NES does have a more concrete connection to the Intellivision! Monster Truck Rally was the one and only game that INTV Corp. released for the NES. It was a 'port' of the ultra-rare Intellivision game Stadium Mud Buggies.
