I didn't own a single Atarisoft game until after the big crash (but that's about when they were released, right?). I got them through the INTV catalog sent out in the spring / summer of 1986 or 1987, I think. It was obvious that Pac-Man was their best seller, since the copy I ended up with was the INTV release, not the actual Atarisoft version - which I eventually also found. I was lucky enough to get Centipede and Defender in their original packaging on the first try.

It's ironic that arch-nemesis Atari released some of the best arcade game ports for the Intellivision. Personally, I find that these three games are easily some of the most faithful arcade game reproductions on the Intellivision. What especially impressed me was the quality of the sound effects. All three of these games did a truly excellent job of reproducing the arcade game's sound effects with great accuracy. You even get the intermissions with Pac-Man! Now why couldn't Coleco have put forth a similarly noble and capable effort?
