These are repackaged versions of the Mattel games, for the
Sears Super Video Arcade. They do have some funky box art!
Missing Sears Titles?
I think that these are all of the Sears releases that actually made
it to market. That is, games that were repackaged and not just resold. Sears seems to
have followed a rather boring, sequential numbering scheme for the
part numbers of the games. The 'missing' part numbers are listed below.
Many, many thanks to Hankster for sharing with me the
part numbers from some old Sears Wish Books to fill in these gaps. As far as I
can tell, these games were never 'Searsified' - just shipped from normal game stock.
Unfortunately, it seems my old catalogs, which included at least one version of the Sears Super
Video Arcade flyer, have been lost to The Landfill of Parent Closet Cleanout
(Whilst Child Is Away to College)TM. (Another possible destination could be
The Shredder of Younger Sibling Habitation (Getting Big Brother's Old Room)TM.)
:( So, I can't look to those flyers for any 'Coming Soon' info.
Can anyone out there provide scans of a Sears Super Video Arcade flyer with
games using any of the unidentified these part numbers?
